Animal Kingdom is filled with creative and artistic designs throughout each of the areas. Travel to the Discovery Island section and you will find Pizzafari. This is a dining experience to please the palate, but so much more.
Look down and all around. Mosaic tiles grab your attention as you first step in.
Take your time to view each ceiling and wall, themed uniquely and with attention to the last detail. From wall tiles to painted ornate wood beams.
You found me! Here I am trying to blend in with the wall art. The spectacular colors pull you through a canvas in to another world. There are six and amazingly different rooms to feast your eyes on. Incredible time and love for art has been passionately portrayed for the soul to relax to the rich warm colors and revive to the cool energizing one’s.

“If you can dream it, you can do it.” – Walt Disney
If there is one aspect of Walter Elias “Walt” Disney’s life that has stuck with me since my early childhood it would certainly be the believe in reaching for your dreams. These dreams are individual, specific, and unique for each person. Many of us know a portion of his story, and typically we focus more on the end picture of what we know about Walt. A successful animator, business man, voice actor, and film producer. We grew up either watching him on the television or watching the movies either he or his corporation made. Truth is though, the final product is a far walk from his humble beginnings in Chicago back in 1901.
There are so many things in our lives that we have little or no control over. Things that affect our families, our finances, and our geography. We must all strive to reach within ourselves and remember our dreams. Find the things in our lives that we truly want to see in our daily lives. One of the definition of dreams is “a cherished aspiration, ambition or ideal”. Another definition is “a person or thing perceived as wonderful or perfect”. What is it that comes to your mind?
Part of the magic of Walt Disney World’s theme parks and resorts is their ability to transport each of us in our own imagination to a place where we recall our dreams, or consider new ones. During a recent visit to Epcot, while walking past a construction barrier we noticed a sign with a quote from Walt.
Stated so simply and so genuine to Walt’s beliefs, the magic of the Walt Disney World is that it does allow us to see another world. Do you remember those feelings when you last visited? Keeping those feelings alive and moving forward each and every day after we return to our homes is a difficult challenge. For I belived it is at those times when we are lost in Walt Disney World that we can see our dreams much clearer. It is through everyday life that it becomes harder to see, more difficult to imagine.
“All of our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” – Walt Disney
Does your time at Walt Disney World take you to another world? Do you find yourself dreaming clearer when you visit? If so, please share your story with us.
With the concept of John Montague, 11th Earl of Sandwich, Disney Springs saw the opening of the first Earl of Sandwich restaurant in March of 2004 located in what was then Downtown Disney Marketplace. John and his father are direct descendants of the 4th Earl of Sandwich, with whom is credited making sandwich’s a popular food among the United Kingdom. Thanks to John and his business partners, an affordable, exciting place to eat for everyone came about.
The restaurant saw immediate success and a popular following due to the innovative ordering process and the healthy foods offered. The chain has seen openings worldwide since and continues to improve both the menu selection, and dining experience.
Eat at Earl of Sandwich, you will be treated to a special experience at a decent price! Expect long lines, the buzz of happy voices, and people walking around waiting to snag a table. A recommndation is to split up during the ordering process to find the seating arrangements best for your crew. Try the Tuna Melt, it is our favorite!
Have you had a positive experience at Earl of Sandwhich, please tell us about it!

Like the Earl of Sandwich,Ghirardelli’s is a happening place to eat and drink. Everyone has been shopping and nice cold ice cream is definitely needed or wanted or both! And one little thing I found nice was they had little paper cups so you good get a complimentary drink of water. A great memory our family has is of our son then 2,now 20. We got him an ice cream cone and could not help laughing as we watched the ice cream flowing down his arms. It was melting quicker than he could eat it,and he was giving us the look of “What is Happening here??” Cool off and relax in a fun and happy atmosphere at Ghirardelli. They offer both inside (few) and outside seating. You can alywas take your treat and enjoy the surroundings as you enjoy the rest of Disney Springs.
Ghiragelli Chocolate Company was incorporated back in 1852 by it’s founder Italian chocolatier Domenico Ghiradelli. Domenico had worked his way to America after working in South America, and settled in California with thoughts of the gold rush in San Francisco.
Thank goodness he turned his attention to the making of fine chocolates! Disney Springs Ghiradelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop offers in a separate area 27 varieties of fine chocolates in bar and other forms. Catch it at the right time and you will be offered a free sample of the variety of the day. Along with the chocolates, they serve coffess and specialty drinks to make your day. Of course the Ice Cream shop does not require much explanation, just go and find out for yourself how good Ghiradelli really is.

My favorite Disney Character? Well,he is warm and soft and filled with fluff. He loves honey and his best friend is Piglet. As a little girl, I was beyond spoiled. I would only wear clothes from Disney and they had to have Winnie the Pooh on the tag.
As you can see by my smile, I was quite content to just stay the day at Pooh Corner. I did grow up and not all of my clothes have to have Pooh on the tag. This shirt was a Pirate’s of the Caribbean. I might have purchased it at Magic Kingdom.
Pooh Corner is no longer at what we so fondly called Downtown Disney. And the name is now Disney Springs. If you have not been for awhile, you need to go shopping.
Pooh Corner was closed for refurbishment early in 2011 and eventually replaced in the Marketplace with a general character merchandising store in the above September 2011 map with store number 51. We fondly recall many fun times in Pooh Corner and hope you can recall too seeing all of Pooh’s friends ready for purchasing and playing!
Can you recall traveling into Pooh Corner, please share your stories with us.

I just love watching old movies, especially if they put them in color, because the ladies wore beautiful clothes. So many different outfits with just the right accessories. They were dressed so pretty in lace and chiffon, pearls, and gloves, high heels, gorgeous purses and hats. Applying makeup taken from a little jeweled clutch. Getting the mail, making breakfast, sitting in bed, they were dressed to feel feminine and lovely, and confident and strong.
Some of my favorites movies- Lucille Ball in The Long, Long Trailer, Forever Darling, Yours,Mine, and Ours (Funny Scene when her daughters are trying to help her get ready for a date), and her TV Shows, I Love Lucy. Grace Kelly in High Society, and Alfred Hitchcock’s movies’, Rear Window and to Catch a Thief. Doris Day in Please Don’t Eat or That Touch of Mink and Judy Garland in Easter Parade.
Check out your local Thrift Stores:This dress was found at Goodwill and I feel pretty wearing it!
