Being a curious woman,I could not help but wonder if we had left these nests in the trees, would they survive more rain and winter weather?
Would the birds want to return home to their original nests?
And why don’t we see hundreds of empty nests from past years in the trees after the leaves fall?
I found a guy named Bob that was asking similar questions in a cute way. His answer was given back in a way that was very helpful and very funny.

I did learn that most girl birds want a brand new home each year 😘
We were visiting my mother-in-law in Indiana. We had two of our grandchildren with us. We had played outside all day and right before dinner, my husband and grandson were looking for,and collecting, bird’s nests.
Each nest was checked for bird eggs by a 3 year old. After making sure there were no eggs or birds, our grandson gave his approval they could come home with us!
