This is the second part of an article on an exciting barrel riding competition we came across a short while back. If you did not read the first article, Running the Barrels Par I – Getting Ready, please click here.
The location for this event that was put on by the Volunteer State Pinto Association was a very exciting place to visit. It provided plenty of space for the preparations required by each of the riders for their horses, but made the event feel accessible for visitors like myself. Having the chance to meet the riders, and their families made this event very fun. Seeing their hard work, and labor of love caring for their horses turned this event into a golden memory.
This second part focuses on that relationship. With each individual running the barrels there was a support group. These photos share those relationships and that bond between rider and horse. Hope you enjoy this Part II – seeing the people who made this event special.
We were heading out dressed up in our Halloween costumes, do you think we blended?
Take the time to click on the links above to enjoy the first part of this article, and also the link for the Volunteer State Pinto Organization. This event was one of many throughout the year. Take time to see if you can get involved or like myself, attend and enjoy.
What horse events have you attended or been involved with this past year? Let us know where we need to plan to attend.
